Inside Sales –
Law Enforcement - 08028
Provide technical sales support to the Law Enforcement
sales force and customers as well as prepare product
quotations. Responsible for all aspects of sales support
for the Law Enforcement market
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Handle inbound sales lead calls and Web page activity
and convert inquiries into sales.
- Overcome technical and business objections of prospective
customers.
- Provide product demos to qualified customers per
their request.
- Emphasize salable features, quote prices and credit
terms, and prepare sales orders for orders obtained.
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on
knowledge of DTC’s production and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate customer training.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Facilitate preparation of all orders and sales
related documents and interface directly with customers
to help resolve and/or expedite any outstanding issues.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, R&D
program reports and sales presentations.
- Monitor and track orders and prepare sales and order
reports. Track and report quote/sales activity.
- Prepare reports of business transactions.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for
current customers into computer database.
- Work with Law Enforcement sales representatives
to keep account activities and literature current
and up to date.
- Investigate and resolve customer delivery problems.
- Interface with internal departments to resolve
issues related to customer orders
- Manage consignment inventory.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or an appropriate
discipline; or equivalent work related experience
and/or training; or the equivalent combination of
education and experience.
- Six to eight years’ customer service/technical
sales skills in the electronics communication field.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a definite
plus.
- Previous experience with import/export documentation.

discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,
area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts
of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with
a variety of concrete variables in situations where
only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret
a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual
must have demonstrated proficiencies in:
- MS Office to include word and spreadsheet applications.
- Presentation software.
- Sales management software such as ACT and MRP (Syteline
is highly preferred).
- Internet software.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
- Familiarity with marketing and engineering organizations.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required. Employees must be able
to work in an environment with information/products
covered in DTC’s Technology Control Plan (TCP).
- The individual must be able to obtain US Government
Security Clearance.
- Ability to travel approximately 10%.
- Bi-lingual skills are a plus; fluency in Spanish
is highly preferred.
